HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR MAIIA RUGS

Do not wait to unpack your rug after delivery. Why? Because this is the best way to ensure creases formed due to being folded or rolled are relaxed and your rug can be laid flat perfectly. to minimize any creases or pressure marks from being folded or rolled up.

🌀 REGULAR MAINTENANCE

1. Vacuuming

  • Vacuum weekly to remove dust and dirt.
  • Use a suction-only vacuum (without a beater bar/rotating brush) to avoid pulling yarn.
  • Vacuum in the direction of the pile to prevent fuzzing and damage.
  • Avoid over-vacuuming edges and fringes to keep the binding intact.

2. Shaking & Beating

  • Occasionally take the rug outside and give it a gentle shake to release embedded dust.
  • For larger rugs, lightly beat the back with a rug beater or stick (not too harsh).

3. Rotation

  • Rotate the rug every 6 months to ensure even wear and prevent fading from sunlight.
